【摘要】 北洋时期,宗教文化勃兴的一个主要表现就是宗教慈善事业大规模、全方位的展开。民国初年各地相继建立的一些医疗机构中,多注重医学教育和医院之间的合作,在传播西方的医学文化、提高医疗水平等方面作出了贡献;北洋时期,宗教界广泛设立育婴堂、开办孤儿院、创设盲童学校和聋哑学校等,这些都在一定程度上解决了当时中国社会面临的某些社会问题,促进了中国社会进步。
